TI-SocSci is the history discussion arm of Thinkers International (TI), a generalist discussion group started by Bill Brown of Richwood, Ohio, in the United States, on Feb 18th, 1997. Since then TI has grown to over 200 subscribers in a multitude of countries.

This group is an offshoot of TI dedicated to discussion of history. The rules are few: respect copyright (do not submit others' copyrighted material without permission); respect other subscribers; and keep the discussion within the topic.

If you choose to subscribe, we would appreciate a little information about you — your name, where you live, what your interests are, and so forth. Please send that message to TI-SocSci@yahoogroups.com.

If you find yourself swamped with individual e-mails, just send a message to TI-SocSci-digest@yahoogroups.com to switch over to the daily digest (one or only a few messages per day).

If you wish to have access to past messages to familiarise yourself with current discussions, you can visit the TI-Sci web site, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TI-SocSci/. To make full use of the site, a password will be required, which can be obtained by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/ and following the "New users" instructions at the left side of the screen.
